Messenger which uses color mixing along with
alpha shading and XY movement.
The Background color
The background color will be used as the background for the
effect if no background image supplied. Otherwise background
color will be used as the background only during preloading
of applet.
The Text
Two colors provided for text - initial and final. When text
appears it displayed in initial color. Initial color gradually
changed to final color as effect goes on and at the end of
effect text displayed in final color.
Alpha shading
Specified amount of shades will be displayed with different
alpha transparency (Alpha From/To values) around original
text. Offset from original text determined by X and Y radius.
Both radius values dynamically changed with timer, providing
wave movement in given direction. So if X radius greater than
zero, shades will move from right to left and back; if Y radius
greater than zero, shades will move from top to bottom and
back. This way its possible to set different vertical, horizontal
or circular movements for effect.
Speed values
Speed of the effect determined by Pause variable, so instant
action provided for defined pause and with greater pause effect
will be displayed slower and with smaller pause - faster.
