Customized circular menu with different motion styles and zoom in/out.

Adding menu items and URLs

Enter each menu item and its corresponding URL into their respective text field. Make sure you have the same number of menu items as you have URLs. See the section Entering Text Or Files for more information about entering menu items.

Displaying area

The items will be displayed at perimeter of the circle with center at the halo's horizontal and vertical positions (measured in percent from window dimensions, so horizontal=50 and vertical=50 means the center of the page). The circle width and height is set by the Halo width/height values (also in percents). Display area is automatically adjusted to window dimensions so that the effect is safe from resize and change of screen resolution.

Displaying items

Items displayed along part of perimeter. Variables Text from/to determine how much perimeter will be occupied by items (in percent). For example, with 50% setting items will be displayed along an ark. Values greater than 100 are acceptable too, for such values items will warp circle more than once. For example, for 200% setting items will warp circle twice. Text speed will determine how fast warping will be changed from minimum (Text from) to maximum (Text to) value and back. So speed defined in percents per frame. Halo speed determine on how much angles whole circle (and items) will rotate each frame. Halo speed can be zero, positive or negative. By combining different text warp and speed settings its possible to produce wide range of circular movements.

Zoom in and out

Initially items are hidden. After pressing Open button items appeared and moved from center to defined radius. Open button will be changed to Close button, and after clicking it items will be hidden again. Both buttons positioned at the center of halo and its possible to define custom captions for both of em using Open text and Close text variables.

Effect delay

The delay variable will set the delay in the effect engine (in milliseconds). You can lower it to produce smoother animation, however try to keep it reasonable high to consume low CPU power.

Note that this effect has limited compatibility! The effect works on the following browsers:

Internet Explorer 4
Internet Explorer 5
Internet Explorer 5.5 (or later)
Opera 5.12 (or later)
Netscape 6 (or later)
